International Journal Of Advances In computing And Management (IJACM)

International Journal of Advances in Computing and Management is a scholarly, double blind-reviewed Journal with ISSN 2250-1975. Computing and Management is an emerging, promising intertwined discipline providing platform for shaping the future research and managerial development activities in academia and industry.

It is an international journal intended for professionals and researchers to publish their research articles and reviews pertaining but not limited to Computer Applications and management, advanced scientific and computing, new challenges in modeling complex systems, developing new algorithms, and inter-disciplinary problem- solving environments. IJACM addresses the state of art of all aspects of computational science and management, highlighting computational methods and managerial skills for science and engineering applications.

All submitted articles should report originality, unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical concepts and will be peer-reviewed. Manuscripts submitted should follow the style of the Journal (IEEE format).

AIM & SCOPE OF IJACM

The aim of the International Journal Of Advances In computing And Management (IJACM) is to provide academically robust papers, research, critical reviews and opinions on the organisational, social and management issues associated with significant information-based technologies. It is designed to be read by academics, scholars, advanced students, reflective practitioners, and those seeking an update on current experience and future prospects in relation to contemporary information and communications technology themes. IJACM focuses on new research addressing technology and the management of IT, including strategy, change, infrastructure, human resources, sourcing, system development and implementation, communications, technology developments, technology futures, national policies and standards. It also publishes articles that advance our understanding and application of research approaches and methods. The journal will publish work from all disciplinary, theoretical and methodological perspectives. It encourages all of the following kinds of contribution:

COPYRIGHT INSTRUCTION OF IJACM

Once any manuscript is selected for publication in International Journal of Computer Applications, the authors must submit the copyright transfer document to IJACM. The copyright form can be down loaded from:Download. Please refer the comprehensive set of guidelines while filing the copyright form. Authors are responsible for ensuring that nothing in their papers infringes any existing copyright. If previously copyrighted material is included, authors must provide evidence that the copyright holder has given permission for its use. A provision for the same is available in the IJACM Copyright transfer document. The authors are requested to verify the manuscripts before submission to curtail any future infringement claims.

INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHOR

  1. All papers submitted for publication in the journal must be ‘original’ and in English language.

  2. The manuscript must be based on the theme or sub-theme decided for the specific issue of the journal.

  3. The manuscript should start with Title, Author name(s), Authors affiliations and email addresses, Abstract, Keywords, Main Body, Acknowledgements, and References.

  4. Previous presentation at conference, or publication in another language, should be disclosed.

  5. The manuscript must strictly adhere to the following formatting style:

    • Use double column style with single line spacing - Title: 24 fonts in Times New Roman

    • Authors Name: 11 fonts in Times New Roman

    • Affiliations: Italics, 11 fonts in Times New Roman

    • Email Id: 9 fonts in Courier

    • Keyword and Abstract word: Bold, Italics, 9 fonts in Times New Roman

    • Body of Keywords and Abstract : Bold, 9 fonts in Times New Roman

    • Level1 heading: 10 fonts in Times New Roman, Capital

    • Level2 heading: 10 fonts in Times New Roman, sentence case

    • Body: 10 fonts in Times New Roman

    • Table Name: 8 fonts in Times New Roman, Capital, Top and center alignment

    • Figure: 8 fonts in Times New Roman, sentence case, bottom and center alignment

  6. The paper should start with an abstract of approximately 150 words and end with a conclusion summarizing the findings of the paper.

  7. Manuscripts should not exceed 8000 words/ 6 pages with single line spacing. Word count includes everything: title, abstract, text, endnotes, references, tables, figures and appendices.

  8. All illustrations should be suitable for printing in black and white, and are numbered sequentially.

  9. The use of capitalization should be kept to the minimum, except in the case of proper nouns and should be followed consistently.

  10. A short bio sketch must accompany each submission along with the author’s institutional affiliation. This must not exceed 50 words.

    Review and Evaluation Criteria:

  12. Correspondence and proofs for correction, if required, will be sent to the first named author, unless otherwise indicated. Corrected proofs should be returned within a week.

  13. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two members of the Program Committee. Submission will be evaluated on the basis of originality, importance of contribution, soundness, evaluation, quality of presentation, and appropriate comparison to related work.

  14. Submission of paper will be taken to imply that the paper contains an original work not previously published, or being considered elsewhere for publication.

  15. Upon acceptance of an article, copyright in the article shall be transferred to the publisher in order to ensure the widest possible dissemination of information.

  16. The author will receive one copy of the Journal free of charge, soon after its submission.

  17. Unaccepted manuscripts will not be returned. However, after the completion of the review process and if the manuscript is not selected, the author(s) is/are free to submit it elsewhere.

    Pay charge policy and Reprints:

  18. Authors of all accepted manuscripts from outside India are required to pay page charge of US$ 40 per printed page to the Journal Publisher, beyond six printed Journal pages, either from their institutions, or their own research Grants. However, authors from India are required to pay INR 300 per printed page, beyond six printed Journal pages. For the purchase of reprints of their papers, the authors should directly get in touch with the Journal Publisher.

Maximum 3 co-authors can participate in one IJACM paper submission. All authors should follow the IEEE format for paper submission. Manuscripts submitted to this journal will be deemed as they have not been published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

IMPORTANCE OF THE REVIEW PROCESSS

The reputation of IJACM depends upon our publishing the best theoretical and empirical work available. To do this, we must provide timely, relevant and informed reviews focussed on the aims and objectives of the journal.

Timelines

It is important when invited to review a paper for IJACM that you not only reply quickly but you complete your review on time. IJM has a policy of returning the reviews of referees to authors within two months of their papers being received--and the receipt being acknowledged. To comply with this we ask that you respond to the request to act as a reviewer within 10 days, and to complete the entire review within 40 days. There is nothing worse for authors than for them to have to wait for reviews of their papers beyond the stated time we give them. Usually, the quicker the reviews, the more they will appreciate publishing with IJACM. If you cannot do the review in the time available tell us immediately so we can get another reviewer to take your place.

Quality Of Reviews

Besides being timely, reviews for IJACM should be of high quality. They should make clear to the author just what constitutes a contribution to the filed, where his or the paper succeeds in this and where it fall short. It is important in his respect that the authors feel they have really benefited from the reviews they receive from IJACM. Some suggestions for reviewers for IJACM.

Be constructive: Even if the paper is not good enough, it is still important that reviewers provide positive feedback, telling the author how the paper could be improved, not just where it falls short. If the problems cannot be rectified in the present paper, suggest how it can be done in further research, which could well be submitted to IJM. . Be specific: It is essential that you tell authors exactly what they are doing right and precisely where they are going wrong, in your opinion. Typically, the more particular you can be, the more useful your advice will be. Typically, authors tell us they prefer feedback to be in the form of numbered paragraph, each covering a definite and different point.

Consider contribution: Whereas academic rigour and coherence are important, we like our reviewers at IJACM to asses the overall contribution the paper makes to the literature. At IJACM we want the papers we publish to be interesting, relevant and to advance our readers’ understanding of important issues in computing and management. We want them to feel that reading a paper in IJACM is a worthwhile exercise, that doing has really extended or advanced what they know abut something important in computing and management.

Remember you are not a copy editor: Occasionally at IJACM you will be asked to review a paper by an author whose first language is obviously not English. In these cases you to remind yourself that your job is not to improve grammar or spelling, but to comment on the ideas and arguments about management that are in the paper. At IJACM we have an editor who can improve the English of the authors, without altering the content of the paper at all. Leave it to her as much as possible.

Be consistent: IJACM requests that reviewers give feedback to authors in line with the reviewers’ recommendations to the editor. One of the worst errors from our point of view is for referees to make favourable comments to authors whilst advising against publication –to the editor. This places the editor of IJACM in the difficult position of having to reject papers despite apparent positive reviews from the referee to the author. . IJACM’s policy of ‘double blind ‘reviewing means that neither the author nor referee know of the identity of each other. To make this effective, the referee should not discuss the paper or the fact they are referring it with anyone other than the editor until the paper has been accepted or rejected. Finally, please do not put recommendations on the review you intend for the author. These should be communicated only to the editor of IJACM, who is responsible for he final publication decision.

Research Activities & Publication :

Membership The efforts were made by the Institute to renew the membership of various professional bodies like IEEE and CSI. Also the annual membership of Jaykar Library (University of Pune) was sought and British Library was renewed.

Institute's Magazine The Institute publishes the annual magazine “Teraminds” which consists of research and general articles by faculty and students.

Institute's Newsletter The Institute always presents the academic and industry views upfront by releasing DYPIMCA Newsletter. 

Research Proposal Constant efforts are taken by the Institute to design a research project proposal to SPPU for Research Grant.

Encouragement of R & D The efforts are made by the Institute to motivate the faculty members to carry out quality research, to attend workshop on research methodology, to present research papers in conferences and publish the same, to tap the great talent available which can ponder and come out with dynamic views through their research which can be valuable contribution to the ongoing practices and also help the organization to win the race in cut-throat competition.

Industry-Institute Interaction Efforts are made by the Institute to increase frequent interactions with industry by increasing institute-industry linkages through HR Meet, Seminars & workshops by Industry Experts and various MOUs.

Application Projects Initiative has been taken to carry out various projects at institute level on no profit no loss basis.

Consultancy Projects Institute had not carried out external sponsored projects; however initiative had been taken to carry out various projects at institute level on no profit no loss basis.

  • Objective: To ensure that the good career opportunities for institute’s graduates are offered by developing ERP project of the institute with various modules that are of strategic importance in areas attracting significant funding.
